KVARRACH

Kvarrach (From "kvar," meaning "war", + "rach," meaning "tongue") is a constructed language by myself designed for use in Deaþ Metal or Black Metal. Þe idea is to create a language appropriately "rough" sounding for extreme music. Þe influence in þe sound inventory comez from English, German, and Dutch. Alþough I have had þe idea in my head to create such a language for awhile, I only began þe work on August IV ov þe year MMXXIV, so þere is not much to show yet.

GRAMMAR AND SYNTAX

Grammar and syntax are meant to be very similar to languages like English or Norwegian, so typical word order is SVO, not too many verb tenses to remember, no grammatical gender, and þere is not too much ov a case system eiþer. Verbs are meant to be fairly regular. Stress generally falls on þe first syllable of a word, except when certain prefixes are attached, such as to indicate passive tense (e.g., "gekátsat" instead ov "katsat"). In such cases, an acute accent may be used to indicate þat þe stress lies on a syllable oþer þan þe first.
