Fourth Timeline Theory is a theory invented by historian/archæologist Välnö Telnäth which attempts to reconcile the question of Korlatho of Kenalan's Split Timeline Theory as to which timeline we currently live in out of the original three hypothesized to have been kreated during the Battle of Kenalan Forest by claiming that the alleged rupture in space-time resulted in not merely three but four simultaneous timelines. In the original three timelines, the victorious factions lived on to rule Ancient Xenàlia the way each saw fit, for better or for worse. Each faction lived on in their own timeline, and they were either killed or disappeared somehow from all the other timelines, the fourth of which (The one we are hypothesized to live in) being the one where no faction came to power, resulting in the sudden decline of Xenàlian Civilization generally. This split in time was not perfect, however, as artifacts and ruins that, according to Telnäth, could only have come from the other three timelines have sometimes been dug up over the centuries after the end of Xenàlian Civilization. While this theory might explain quite a lot, it is not one that can be proven empirically, and so is considered highly controversial, even fringe, among scholars, yet Telnäth's high reputation in the world has given the theory relevance, and even some amount of credibility, anyway.
