ÞE BOOK OV DOKTRINE

SPLIT TIMELINE ÞEORY

"To mortal eyes, from the world have they disappeared, and they only ashes left.
Gone are their armies and gone are their kings.
Yet still at times strangely, when no one sees, emerge from the ground do their monuments to celebrate their victories.
None until I have understood the truth: Their empires live still.
Not in this world, but in others, and those others at times touch ours."

-Korlàtho of Kenalan, The Book ov Doktrine

In his Book ov Doktrine, the ancient priest Korlàtho of Kenalan puts forward the theory that the Battle ov Kenalan Forest resulted in the simultaneous kreation of three timelines, in which each participating side in the battle won. Korlàtho found that this was the only way to reconcile the fact that each side of the battle claimed victory despite it being seemingly impossible by traditional logic. This theory is, obviously, controversial among modern historians, and it is not yet certain how this theory was perceived in ancient times, if it was even known about at all. One major problem that has yet to be solved is: If the theory is true, then which timeline do we currently live in today?1

Editors' Notes:

1: My current θεωρία (theory) on the matter is that (1) either each timeline reconverged some time before the present era, or (2) we actually live in a fourth timeline, which Korlàtho did not consider. -Välnö Telnäth

Why don't you just say "theory"? Are you showing off again? -Yòdansen Tairö
